A Helpful Resource on Electric School Buses

As more Arkansas school districts begin thinking about the future of student transportation, I know many of you are asking practical questions. What does it actually take to transition to electric school buses? How do we prepare our maintenance teams? What about charging infrastructure and long term reliability?

I wanted to share a free four part webinar series that Louisiana Clean Fuels is hosting with support from WRI that is designed specifically for school districts. While it is being organized in Louisiana, the information is highly relevant for Arkansas districts that are exploring electric buses or already have them in operation.

The sessions walk through the basics of electric school buses, procurement and delivery timelines, staff training needs, maintenance considerations, and long term charging strategy. There is also a session focused on supporting districts operating Lion Electric buses and learning from real world experiences in the field.

This series is built around practical insight, not just theory. It is meant for superintendents, transportation directors, maintenance supervisors, and school board members who want clear, operational guidance.

If your district is even beginning to have conversations about electric buses, this is a great no cost opportunity to learn from others and ask questions. Registration information is included on the flyer or you can use this link – https://louisianacleanfuels.starchapter.com/meetinginfo.php
